Well, at 11:40 a.m. I sat in a partially empty theater with Jorge and we watched Chicago. I cannot even begin to express how much I absolutely LOVED the movie and the performances and the choreography and the lights and the costumes and...I could go on and on. It was just an amazing movie on so many levels; especially in the shooting and editing of the film, which I feel is exactly how Bob Fosse would have done it. It totally energized me to get stuff done that I have been meaning to get done in a while. Of course, my high did not last for long because I had to deal with ridiculously stupid bullshit that I just do not need in my life. While I am loathe to admit this, sometimes I do regret certain things I say or do which at the time seem rather opportune and end up being more of a hassle than they are worth, and I speak of both people and situations. So to cleanse myself of all that crap, I went to go see Chicago...again....at 7:35 with some friends and the directors of the Chicago production I will start working on on Sunday. Looking forward to it. It will be nice to finally do some chorus work again and just dance and sing and not have to worry about being a lead. It;s what I wanted and it;s what I got. One of the few instances where a person turns down a lead for chorus.
