PromoGuy's Monday Mission 2.43

1. Ever do anything over and over just to make someone else happy but discover you actually hate it?

Yes. When you're a selfles person, you sometimes find yourself in a situation doing something you don;t like, but that makes the other person happy. Granted, some people think being selfless means having no spine and being a blithering whining idiot. However, I do the draw the line at what "happy" means. For example, I am not going to get drunk with a friend or perpetuate their drinking if it makes them happy. I am talking about the fulfillment of sometimes the simplest things to make someone happy.

2. What kinds of obligations do you enjoy?

Two kinds. To my friends and to the stage. It brings me joy to bring others joy. And of course, one of my life;s mottos is "I want to make people laugh until they pee."

3. What are your feelings about celebrating Halloween?

I think it;s cool. Granted, it;s become extremely commercialized, and we have taken a somewhat pagan/natural ritual and made it all about dressing up in scary costumes and getting candy. I do believe Halloween and the celebration of it is more than that, but much like all other pagan celebrations, the Christians took it and commercialized them to make them feel more comfortable. I mean come on.....the Easter Bunny and chocolate eggs have NOTHING to do with the resurrection of Christ.

4. Are there any stories of bodily functions you would prefer people not share with you in conversation?

Hmm...it takes a lot to shock and bother me. I would say barfing, I do;nt want to hear about that. And farting too.

5. What do you think is the most important aspect of personal hygiene that bothers you when people overlook it?

Nappy ass nasty feet. Clean that shit yo!

6. Ponder the thought of being forever young, living on endlessly, being immortal. What would that life be like for you?

Oh jeez. Lonely. People you know and love dying and having to recycle through them. However, I love knowledge and mystery, and to able to see history, see creation, witness evolution and advancement and to see how life changes is, to me, a great thing.

7. What's the last thing you felt was "worth fighting for?"

In the last show I did, dubbed the "Xtian Nightmare," I was forced to defend my work and that of the dancer who performed the dance because of illogical and sloppy management and directing....that and an extremely unwarranted and huge ego of a megolomaniacal troll. I would have hated myself had I not said anything at all, but I felt this strong urge to defend my work and why I thought it belonged in the show. In the end, the directors won out because you can;t argue with ego and "blurred vision," but I will never regret saying and doing what I did because not only my work deserved a fighting chance, but also the dancer. He worked too damn hard to have it frivolously thrown away. But the spotlight always comes back.

BONUS: Sooner or later, they all will be gone...why don't they stay young?

I don;t know. I wish they did. But everything has to grow and change and fly free. It;s the hardest but the best lesson to learn to be able to let someone go.
