Well I went out and braved the shopping arenas and got most of my shopping done except for one gratuitous gift I reall don;t feel like buying and one for ma girl Diane, which is causing me some anxiety as I do not know what to get her. But I did get some cool stuff, I think. It was nice to have a nice sum of money set aside to spend on my loved ones. I opted for better gifts and fewer people this year as opposed to lots of people, small cheap gifts. I know the price and size should not matter, but I wanted to get gifts that I knew people wanted or could use. I DID got the gift certificate on some routes, but they were DAMN good choices too.
On another note, I have not been going to sleep earlier than 4 am for the last week, so I am up pretty late watching TV -- everything from the Food Planet to Infomercials. Well I was watching a special on the Discovery channel called "Eaten Alive" about parasites that invade the human body. This was not a good thing to watch at 3:30 as I witnessed the foulest things like hook worms crawling under people;s skin, another kind of undetectable worm that just roams your body and this guy was talking about how he saw it crawl across his eye. But the ultimate was this: They had a segment on the "Willy" fish from the amazon that survives on blood and flesh. It is a small fish that is attracted by urine streams and what not.....yeah well...they had the guy who was the first reported case of being attacked by them....he decides to go peeing in an amazon river and the fish flew up his dick and lodged itself in there, and the worst part? When it goes into an animal it shoots out a barb from either side of it;s body to lodge itself into the walls and when the doc pulled it out, it was 6 inches long.
