Well, two-weeks went by very quickly and the show is over today. Amen and Hallelujah! I have never been so excited for a show to be over, and by that, I mean the experience of being around some of the people and having to be reminded of the terminal idiocy that plagues us on an everyday basis. I have had fun watching my dancers, I have had fun hanging out with them and some of the other cast members, but I want to never revisit this experience again. Albeit, it was a very good learning experience and I will take all the lessons learned with me to any other show I do. There are truly evil people out there with the worst ulterior motives, and now my defenses are up more than ever.
I did get a moment of reprieve on Friday when I had a dancer sleep-over. It was a lot of fun. Granted, I only got four hours of sleep, two of which were on my floor, but I enjoyed myself thoroughly. Playin catch phrase telepathically, abusing the elf into all hours of the night and morning, sleeping with a sweatbox in my bed. I did enjoy myself thorougly. I feel that I owe them so much, so I will do anything I possibly can to repay them back for their patience, their talent, and their dedication.
It will be so nice to take a break from all of this for a while. Whew.....
