The Second Evaluation

Well, I must say I was pleasantly surprised by last night's show. After the roughshod opening night, last night was a much better show, barirng a few people falling flat on their asses. The dancing was much cleaner, altho not as crisp as I would have liked it, but then again, I am a perfectionist. The audience enjoyed it and that is all that matters. For themost part I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and I am definitely positive that the show completely sink when the lead comes back onto the stage. I thought it was just be being biased, but Ana said the same thing and I overheard people making negative comments about him, and you know it is never a good thing they start shuffling, groaning and saying, "Shut up" when he starts to sing. So overall I think audiences will enjoy the show and that is all that matters. Those dancers deserve every bit of applause because they work their asses off. One matinee today and three more shows and I can regain control of my life.

I am actually pleased with some of my workin this show, I think I surprised myself at some points. I am usually very HIGHLY critical about my work and am usually never happy with any of it (what actor truly is I guess). There are definitely some moments in the show when I stop and think, "Wow. I did that." It;s weird and surreal. The best part is looking at some of the dancers and seeing how far they have come because of their passion for it. I love being able to see someone go from a virtual non-dancer or a sloppy one to one that looks like they belong on a stage dancing wiht professionals. I love working with those people sometimes more than trained dancers because of the passion and the energy, and because I was once there myself so I know what it feels like to get a dance move when you have never stepped foot into a dance class. Don;t get me wrong, I love ALL my trained dancers, but when I look at people who I have worked with and on for four years,or even those for a few months, and I compare their progress, I am VERY proud and honored that I had a small hand in it. I simply love and adore those dancers.

On a more pleasant note, I got my green card in the mail yesterday, so it is officially official. Praise Crispy Jeebis .

And on a final note....it;s not brown-nosing, it's called talent. Check into it some time.
