PromoGuy's Monday Mission 3.03

HEY!!! A question I wrote a while back actually made it onto the list. WOOO!!!!!!

Friday I wrote about "People I Can Do Without." How about adding to the list with a few people you can live without?

Oh jeez, where do I begin. The EDBQ, annoying pretty boys who need to come out of the closet, idiots in positions of power.

Have you ever felt like someone truly respected you? What does being respected mean to you personally?

Truly? No. I have a hard time thinking that people do or that they even occasionally look up to me. Being respected means everything to me. It goes hand in hand with being trusted because I feel that those two qualities are the base of any person's being.

In (past or current) relationships, what is the "one thing" your partner would change about you if they could?

My stubborness and knack for always being right.

Have you ever tried to change who you are to please someone? How did that turn out?

Undoubtedly so. Oh it worked great...for the OTHER person. I felt miserable because I know I was not being true to myself at all.

Do you believe in love at first sight? Can it really happen?*

This was MY question. Of course, I have no clue how to friggin answer it. I believe in infatuation at first sight, and while I do believe fate has a lot to do with happens in our lives, I don't think you can be in love with someone based on appearances. Fall in love maybe, but then, that proves to be shallow. I like to think it is deeper than that.

Today is "Martin Luther King Jr. Day" in the United States. King's non-violent protests against unequal treatment of African-American people led to radical change in America, and ultimately, his assassination in 1968. How have Rev. King's accomplishments impacted or influenced your life?

Made me more aware of what racism truly is, how ist exists in many forms, andhow seemingly open-minded people sometimes just cover up their own ignoranc ebcause of laziness.

In America, our President declared yesterday to be "National Sanctity of Life Day." While it enacts no change in policy or program, it does allow our country's leader to make a declarative statement about abortion. How do you feel when you hear about a government taking a position such as this?

That they are a bunch of reeses monkey idiots who have nothing better to do than to rule from the position of the religious right in ordetr to secure votes for a majority population who has no business making rules and regulations when they can;t even figure out th most basic elements of their religion and "book" and who have nothing better to do all day than to chastise and point fingers at those who they see as "sinful" when they should be taking a look at themselves sometimes. Where was I?

BONUS: What will I do if you say we're through?

Be depressed about it. Badly.
