1. Do you care for poetry? Do you have a favorite poem? Care to share some of it?
Yes, I do. I am not a rabid fan of it nor di I much enjoy studying it in school, but I do think it has merit and I enjoy some of it. Don't really have a favorite poem per say, but I have always been partial to Shakespeare's Sonnet 29:
When, in disgrace with fortune and men's eyes,
I all alone beweep my outcast state
And trouble deaf heaven with my bootless cries
And look upon myself and curse my fate,
Wishing me like to one more rich in hope,
Featured like him, like him with friends possess'd,
Desiring this man's art and that man's scope,
With what I most enjoy contented least;
Yet in these thoughts myself almost despising,
Haply I think on thee, and then my state,
Like to the lark at break of day arising
From sullen earth, sings hymns at heaven's gate;
For thy sweet love remember'd such wealth brings
That then I scorn to change my state with kings.
2. What does it take to "rock your world?"
A great show or laughing all night with friends.
3. Have you ever done anything that landed you in financial trouble? Has somebody else's action ever caused you financial ruin? What happened?
Yes. Spent way too much money and got myself in a wee bit of debt that I am trying to pull myself out of.
4. Take a stroll down memory lane. There is a song, that every time you hear it, you think of this one person. What's the song, who is the person, and what memories does it conjure up?
I cannot listen to Bette Midler's "Wind Beneath My Wings" and I have not since about 1988. It reminds me of my childhood best friend's mother who passed away from breast cancer.
5. I've never cared for football, it was never on in the house growing up and I never developed a "taste" for it. But I've always felt like I "should" enjoy it, that I was deficient in some way because I never get excited about things like the Super Bowl (except for the commercials). Are there any occasions when you feel like you are missing out on something that everyone else seems to enjoy?
Not really. I usually give everything a shot one time before I make a decision. But most of the stuff that people enjoy i just find assinine and not time-worth-fulfilling.
6. A few of the phrases that get under my skin are "take it to the next level" (which was used when I was told why I was being replaced at Fox by someone who could do that) and "you just don't get it" (always popular in relationship fights). What phrases "push your buttons" and why?
"Asshole" (bad memories) "Irregardless" (bad grammar) "I didn't mean to lie" (bad moron)
7. Do you believe in life after death? What do you believe happens when our time is up?
I would like to think so. I don't think we just die and metaphysically transcend this plane and go to some mythical heaven. I would like to think that we either get to be recycled and do it all over again, or that some of us choose to be guardians of sorts, like guardian angels. I always wanted to be one of those. Of course, the reality may very well be that we die and that's it.
BONUS: Everybody's talking all this stuff about me why don't they just let me live?
Because they have nothing else better to do with their lives than to spin stories to make themselves feel better. Fuck em.
